Today is my late Grandma Hattie's birthday. She was 98 when she died. I think of her often. You see, now that I am an adult, so many of the things she taught me come to mind. She was an amazing homemaker and was the one who taught me to thread a needle, cut pieces for her quilts and make a soap that cleans like nobody's business. Heaven knows I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble in my early adult life had I listened to her more. Anyway. Happy Birthday to my original Martha Stewart.
